I minored in french in college and never used it. So I had to relearn/refresh my memory so when I go to Quebec I can finally used it with the locals and not feel supper rusty. This is great for beginners too trying out the language for the first time.

I liked how it started with practical rules and followed up with examples and exercises that felt approachable.That said, it could be more engaging visually—some color or diagrams might help with memory and make it less textbook-like.

I really like this book a lot. I have been learning French for years and I really like books like this that are easy to understand.

It has been ages since I've used French for anything, and this tiny little book is a great refresher on the basics. It is concise, clean, and easy to follow. It probably would not be good for first-time learners, but if you are a intermediate learning or have not used the language in a while and need some refreshing, it is and quick and painless refresher. I downloaded this book for my teen son, who is learning French in senior school. French grammar can be challenging, and I shared the first few pages and he was really keen to continue reading and practicing. We have also practiced some French together, which has been really fun. It breaks up areas of skill well, so that you can focus on mastering in one skill (eg. imperfect tenses) before moving on to the next. It’s also helped me with my French, which is getting a bit rusty without daily practice.

i’ve bought a lot of French books before this one, but honestly most of them were either too boring or way too complicated explaining French grammar in French. this one’s actualy super clear and easy to follow. the explanations make sense and it kinda feels like someone’s just talking to you, not lecturing. def had a few moments where i was like “ohhh ok that finally makes sense.” wish i found this sooner tbh.overall it’s solid.

Grammar books can be a nightmare but this one actually makes sense. It doesn’t drown you in useless rules just useful explanations in english that click. Verb tenses finally stopped feeling like an unsolvable puzzle and the practice questions actually help instead of just being busy work. The layout gets a little cramped in some spots but honestly it’s so well structured that it’s not a dealbreaker.
